Our session will discuss our journey in the creation of a newcomer pathway at Mendota High School. Over the past 3 years we have seen an average of 100-130 newcomers to our high school of 900 students. In order to provide effective services we needed to make changes to our ELD program and in turn create a newcomer pathway for our students. Our goal is to share our story to be able to provide a resource to districts facing the same situation.
