Manuel Escandon has been in education for 28 years, 12 of those years with Fresno County Superintendent of Schools (FCSS). He became Director of Student Intervention and Prevention at the Fresno County Office of Education, August 2013. Prior to becoming Director of Student Intervention and Prevention, he served as a Coordinator II in the Curriculum and Instruction Division of FCSS as part of the Academic System wide Intensive Support Team (ASIST). In the capacity of director, he oversees the Truancy Intervention Program (TIP); Student Attendance and Review Board (SARB) county-wide; Inter-District Transfer and Expulsion Appeals for the FCSS Board of Education; Parent support to navigate the K-12 structure; Servant Leadership Academy Programs and other prevention and intervention systems to maximize student success.
