Natalie Taylor has been in education for close to 20 years. She has served as an elementary teacher, elementary principal, and district director focused on equity, instruction, and intervention. In addition to serving students in her home district, Natalie has traveled to China to work alongside overseas departments of education. Since 2020, she has served on the Board of Directors for Claremont Canopy, a non-profit founded to support people displaced by forced migration who have settled in the LA area. Natalie was awarded the 'Valuing Diversity Award' from the Association of California School Administrators, Region 15 in 2020, 2021, and 2023 and was named ACSA’s State awardee in 2023. Natalie completed her Ed.D. from USC with research focused on the journey White educational leaders take when building racial identity and heightening racial consciousness. She facilitates equity conversations in her district and with educational leaders across the state, focused on action and policy change to build equitable educational systems.
